GLOSSARY OF TABLE VALUES

All group tables on our dashboard use standard sport-desk notation. See the matrix below for explanations of each metric.

P

Played

The cumulative number of matches a specific team has completed during this group stage phase.

W

Wins

Total matches resulting in a victory for the team. Adds three points to the final standings.

D

Draws

Total matches ending in a level score. Awards one point to each competing association.

L

Total matches resulting in a defeat. Yields zero points toward overall group placement.

GF / GA

Goals For / Goals Against

GF displays the number of goals the team has successfully scored. GA tracks the number of goals conceded.

GD

Goal Difference

The mathematical subtraction of Goals Against from Goals For (GF - GA). It serves as a primary tiebreaker.

PTS

Points

The primary sorting coefficient of the table. Determined by adding (Wins × 3) + (Draws × 1).

Tiebreaking Hierarchy Principles

In standard tournament configurations, if two or more teams finish equal on points upon completing their three group matches, sorting is determined strictly through numerical tiebreakers:

  1. Superior overall Goal Difference (GD) across all three group matches.
  2. Greatest cumulative Goals For (GF) registered in all group matches.
  3. Head-to-head point total accumulated in matches between the tied teams.
  4. Goal difference resulting from matches between the tied teams.
